What is CozyCreep?
CozyCreep is a precast concrete, hot water heated pad designed as an insert into farrowing crate creeps.  Treated with silica fume, this concrete has increased strength and reduced permeability when compared to normal concrete. 

How will it help my animals perform?
Every good stockperson knows that maintaining body temperature of piglets at birth is the first step to survival.  Concrete and proper water line design provides an exceptionally even heat across the entire pad.  All piglets will find their comfort zone easily and quickly, away from the high risk crushing area.  The CozyCreep stops chilling and reduces crushing.  A fast start leads to more and bigger piglets at weaning.

What are the benefits to having this product?
Hot water heating is a highly efficient method that allows you to use your choice of fuel source, from oil or gas or outdoor furnace.  The CozyCreep warms the piglets.  Some installations use no supplementary heat lamps even on day of farrowing!  Temperature control is much more precise than with other heat pads, if properly installed and fitted with a simply designed mixing valve.  

How do I keep track of the temperature?
The temperature of the pad is best monitored with a infrared heat gun. A Raytek model heat gun allows you to scan the surface of the pad to make sure it is at the preferred temperature.  A group of heat pads are linked together in series and controlled by a mixing valve that will control the temperature of the water.  The correlation between water temperature and heat pad surface is high, making it easy to control and adjust temperature on the pad.
